Vision Statement
I was in prison and you came to me ... Truly, I say to you, to the extent that you did it unto one of these...of mine, even the least of them, you did unto me." "Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me."
(Matthew 25:36, 40; John 12:26)

The vision of the Prison/Jail Aglow Prison Ministry is to:

  • To go wherever women are incarcerated
  • To tell the good news of Jesus Christ
  • To bring life and hope through faith in Him
  • To minister through prayer and fellowship
  • To love unconditionally with the love of God
  • To lead women into praise and worship

AIWPMA
AGLOW INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S PRISON MINISTRY OF ALABAMA

TRAINING UP-DATE

What an awesome, initial training AIWPMA had on the last Saturday in April! It was a time of being in the company of the Spirit of God and the divine impartation of His will for this ministry. Due to “warring in the heavenlies” we began our meeting without electrical power but with more than enough Holy Ghost Power! The town of Georgiana, Alabama, was ravaged by severe rain storms, long power outages, and tornado strength winds just a few short hours before the training sessions began.

When the sessions started there were no lights and no air conditioning. The Team trained for 8 hours by candlelight! The storm swept the entire area of South Alabama (where many of the team were traveling from) right up to Central Alabama where the meeting was held in Georgiana. One member, who is 72 years old, drove herself over 50 miles to the training through the storms! Every one of the team members who had confirmed prior to that day made the trip. What awesome dedication and testimony to the power of The Call of God.

The new Prison Ministry Team was led through two (candle-lit) sessions of
training from the Aglow Prison Ministry Training Manual. The next training is scheduled for June 2005. It will be on Prayer, Prayer Counseling for the Inmate and Intercessory Prayer.

AIWPAM has been granted access to Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women! We will attend a mandatory training session at the facility in September 2005. Please pray for God’s continued open door at Tutwiler, Alabama’s only death row facility for women.

AIWPMA will begin ministering in local city and county jails in early to mid 2006. We are prayerfully considering other areas of ministry including, a Pen Pal Ministry to incarcerated women.

An Intercessory Prayer Team is being formed to cover AIWPMA in prayer.
Our Prayer focus for AIWPMA is:

  • open doors of ministry. Colossians 4:24 and Romans 10:14
  • laborers into His Harvest. Matthew 9:36-38
  • revival in the prisons and jails. John 12:32 and Romans 10:13
